Jedidiah Divine Home of Love (JEDLOF), as part of its out reach in identifying with the less privileged especially widows in the society has distributed various items to mark it’s last quarter activities for 2024
Speaking shortly after empowering over 300 Widows, widowers and children with the distribution of items made up of food stuffs of various kinds in Abia Udi, Enugu State, the founder of JEDLOF, Dr (Mrs) Ebele Okoye acknowledged the level poverty and hardship in the country
Dr Okoye, urged government in various capacities to assist the foundations who can reach areas where government, organizations may not be able to reach in order to identify with more needy people, adding that there are individuals who can also join forces with them to assist more people.
Mrs Okoye, retired General Manager, Customer service of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, said, it was a vision by God to her to render help to others. “We don’t have sponsors now but few partner who are committed to the work of God.
” The next outing will be in March by the grace of God and definitely in Lagos”
According to Mrs Okoye, JEDLOF assisted some of the widows to pay children school fees, exam fees, rebuilt homes in some cases. “We also do cash gift to assist their small businesses grow”
She noted that the level of employment was low adding that children will finish university and no job while their parents were getting old and needed help.
“Govt can help in building more industries and engaging these young ones who will in turn help their parents.
A lot of young people have joined bad gangs of people killing, maiming not bcos they desired it but bcos if difficulties”
