All is now set for the crowning of the 2023 King and Queen of the year at the 13th Nigeria Aviation Awards contest which is sponsored by Santos Aviation.
The king and queen of the air, which has a prize tag of N1 million, is sponsored by Santos Aviation, a US-based aircraft interior refurbishing outfit.
The contest is for selecting Nigerian aviation ambassadors among the air hosts and hostesses from various airlines.
According to the organiser and Ordinator of NIGAV, Mr Fortune Idu, in a press statement said the contest is to promote better inflight passengers’ experience and excellent onboard services from the cabin crew.
Idu said it is also to recognise the good work of cabin crews in air transport service delivery.
Winners will go home with N1m and other gift items to become Nigerian air ambassadors for corporate social responsibility.
According to Idu, the Acting Director General of NCAA was once NIGAV recipient who have exiled in piloting and this time, he is expected to crown the King and Queen of the Air in a cabin crew contest.
He said during the period, the winners will initiate and carry out a CSR programme starting with a NIGAV charity cash donation to the SOS Children’s Village and specific aviation safety-based ‘community awareness campaigns.’
The event he said, has remarkable grown as the hallmark of sector for rewarding excellent and inspiring healthy competition.
