The Airport Fire and Safety Multipurpose Cooperative Society (AFSMCS) has won three awards at the 5th National Cooperative Awards organized by the Cooperative Rating and Awards Society of Nigeria (CRASoN) which place at the NECA event centre, Ikeja Lagos, at the weekend.

AFMCS, got the highest votes in three categories in the nominations to become the overall winner.

The three categories of nominations are, the Cooperative Man of the Year clinched by the president of AFMCS, Alhaji Saheed Anako Sadiq, the Most Outstanding Cooperative Management Committee of the Year and the Most Supportive Cooperative Society of the Year.

Alhaji Sadiq was also inaugurated as a Patron and board member of CRASoN

Reacting to the awards, Alhaji Sadiq appreciated the rl unflinching support of all members and dedicated the awards to the Almighty God and the members.

He declares “You will agree with us that every reward for excellence is a motivation to achieve more. It’s our collective resolve to optimally protect your interest by adding more value and achieving more for the Society”

He said the significance of the three awards showed the rewards for great performance and to continue to add value and embarked on more investment to uplift members

He noted that without members, there will be no cooperative adding, that cooperative was about the emancipation of the people, poverty alleviation, Corporate social responsibility in an operational environment.

Alhaji Sadiq remarked that the corporate image of the society was being promoted positively with all the agencies, FAAN, NCAA, NSIB, NUATE, ATSSSAN and ANAP that constituted membership remained directly benefited and uplifted in their corporate images.

He noted that it not achieved alone by the President but for the collaboration of the executives and members support.
