Late High Chief Edward Nweze Ezenwa
The family of Kingsley Ezenwa, spokesperson for Dana Air, have announced the passing and burial of their patriarch, High Chief Edward Nweze Ezenwa, who died after a brief illness recently at the remarkable age of 85 in Lagos.
Kingsley during a chat with newsmen in Lagos said, we all still miss our dear dad and we take consolation in the fact that we gave him a befitting burial deserving of a legend that he was on the 11th of Oct 2024.
“Papa lived a fulfilling life, born in Anambra state where he bagged prestigious academic and sports laurels and earned the nickname “horse” and “okalicha” meaning th best among equals. He later moved to Lagos and joined one of Nigeria’s finest paint companies in the 70s International Paint West Africa (IPWA) and retired as Human Resources Director about 30 years ago.”
“A devout Catholic, Papa cherished his tradition and contributed significantly to social development programs in Lagos and Anambra, his home state. He was a lover social gatherings, comedy and was always fun to be with.
“He is survived by his loving wife, five children ( all male) grandchildren, brother, and sisters. Papa’s legacy as a great motivator, teacher, loving father and husband will be deeply missed by all who knew him, Kingsley added.
He thanked all friends, well-wishers, family and colleagues in the aviation industry, the League of Airports and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) for all their support.
The family takes comfort in the outpouring of support and condolences from friends, colleagues, and well-wishers during this difficult time.
