The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has assured Nigerians of seamless travel through its airports during the salah season .
The Authority said it has consistently taken measures to upgrade her security apparatus to ensure safety of life and property of the travelling public .
FAAN, therefore, encourages all travellers to be at the airport early enough in order not to miss their flights as well as reduce rush.
It urged international travellers to be at the airport three hours before departure, while local travellers must ensure to arrive about two hours to flight schedule .
It warned intending travellers to ensure they pack their luggage by themselves and not leave their luggage unattended .
A statement signed by Mrs. Obiageli Orah, Director Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, added that FAAN has expanded the screening area in order to give passengers a better flying experience.
“Keep an eye on your valuables while passing through screening, ensure that you park your vehicle properly at the car park to avoid it being towed , do not engage the services of touts, do not give bribes or encourage extortion, respect rules and regulations in respect of carriage of prohibited articles, liquids, and gel.We have information desks at all our airports to assist you, travellers should make use of them. “, she said.
The Managing Director of FAAN, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, at a recent event had sent out a warning to staff as well as all government agencies that operate at the airports that FAAN will ensure that whoever is culpable of any offense is punished.
