The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has announced a temporary closure of Runway 18R/36L at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Lagos.
This was contained in a statement by its Director Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Obiageli Orah on Monday.
She saud the closure will be from 03.00hrs of 3rd March 2025 to 23.59 hrs of 4th March 2025.
The closure, she said is due to ongoing rehabilitation work(asphalt phase) at the 2A taxiway link of the Runway.
The move according to FAAN is part of ongoing efforts to ensure the Runway remains in optimal condition.
According to her, there will be no disruption to flight operations during this period as all flights would be directed to the alternative Runway 18L/36R.
