The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has said that effective 00:00 on 24th August, 2019, the runway at Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu will be closed for major repairs and works on the airfield.
This move, the Authority said, is aimed at resolving the existing Safety/Security concerns to flight operations.
A statement signed by Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, FAAN’s spokesperson added that a date to reopen the runway will be communicated to travellers and other stakeholders in due course.
