…as aviation workers extol her virtue

Managing director of Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Captain Rabiu Hamisu Yadudu, has described the outgoing general manager, public affairs of FAAN, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu as a dedicated, hardworking and loyal representative of the Authority.

In a pre-recorded message played at the send-off ceremony held virtually for Mrs. Yakubu, at FAAN headquarters, Lagos, the FAAN boss described her as one who could work independently without supervision, saying she had projected the image of FAAN positively even when there were negative reports.

‘’I found it necessary to add my voice to others that have spoken. I found her to be very dependable, dedicated and humble in the discharge of her duties. I met her for the first time when I was a GM and since then, she has never changed, she also has a lot of sense of humour when the need arises, she was a very loyal representative of FAAN, I could give assignments without supervision, she needs to know that she has all these qualities.

‘’I wish her all the success and happiness in life, may your life be much more successful.’’, he said.

Also speaking, director of airport operations, Captain Muhktar Muye, described her as an amazon, excellent and a very proactive staff.

To him, Mrs. Yakubu carried all her subordinates along in the course of discharging her duties, adding that she was truly the face of FAAN.

‘’I call her the face of FAAN, because she is an amazon, she is dedicated and never ignore her calls, she makes her subordinates so proactive’’, he said.

Director, Commercial and Business Development, Sadiku Rafindadadi , said she is the channel through which FAAN speaks and a mentor who is always on top of her job.

‘’She is always up and doing, it was a time well spent at FAAN, we will always get back to her because she is not tired’’.

Basil Agboarumi, managing director Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO), prayed she reaps the ‘good seeds she had sown in the aviation sector’, as she bows out of service.

Director of Human Resource & Administrations, Mr. Norris Anozie , described her as a very dedicated and very wonderful woman, saying it is difficult to part with her.

”But I say kudos to you and enjoy your retirement. A lady of exceptional qualities, she knows how to manage her job properly, she is efficient, very disciplined in her job, a mentor to those below her. She knows how to handle the affairs of FANN especially when we have issues that could escalate, how to get us out of trouble and put us back. She knows her job very well. She is very friendly, she has kept FAAN on positive light, we are going to miss her, a very good family woman. She is retiring but not tired. She is going to be doing quite a lot new her new life. I wish her well”.

Immediate past managing director of FAAN, Engr. Saleh Dunoma also has this to say:

”I started realising her potentials in Abuja airport and later on,  she put in a lot of efforts to make sure everything was done very successfully.  She has done very excellently well in that position because we worked closely. A very excellent officer, the image of FAAN improved tremendously since she assumed duties and this is a good job. ”

Other staff and representatives of agencies , including the unions, showered encomiums on her and extolled her virtue at the event.
