The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Aviation, and Member representing Kontagora, Mariga, Mashegu and Wushishi Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Idris Garba, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the reappointment of Professor Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi as Registrar and Chief Executive of the National Examinations Council (NECO), describing the decision as a strategic affirmation of proven leadership and institutional continuity.
In a statement issued at the weekend, Rt. Hon. Garba noted that the President’s action reflects a commitment to merit, stability, and sustained reforms within critical national institutions. He observed that Professor Wushishi’s first tenure was marked by significant improvements in the credibility, transparency, and operational efficiency of NECO, which have collectively reinforced public confidence in Nigeria’s examination system.
The lawmaker further stated that the reappointment serves as a clear endorsement of the Registrar’s visionary leadership and the transformative initiatives he has championed during his first tenure.
