New King and Queen of the air at the weekend in Lagos at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, emerged at the 2022 Nigeria Aviation Awards (NIGAV).
The new King of the Air, Ikpa Elvis of Valujet Airline and the Queen of the Air, Jennifer Nwankwo of Air Peace, emerged winners during the finale of the the ceremony.
The King and Queen of the Air contest with a prize tag of N1 million, was sponsored by Santos Aviation, an American based aircraft interior refurbishing outfit.
The contest is aimed at selecting Nigeria’s aviation ambassadors among the air hosts and hostesses from various airlines.
The competition, put together to promote better inflight and excellent passenger experience, also has award to recognise the diligence of cabin crew in air transport service delivery.
Yearly, winners go home with N1,000,000 and other gift items as they are crowned Nigeria’s Air Transport Ambassadors for corporate social responsibility.
Last week’s ceremony was attended by the representative of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, minister of aviation, heads of aviation parastatals and various stakeholders.
