The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), has taken delivery of 13 wheel chairs from the Rotary Club of Falomo, as a donation from the club.
At the presentation ceremony held on Thursday at the Domestic wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, the Managing Director of FAAN, Engr. Saleh Dunoma, who was represented by the Authority’s Director of Maintenance and Engineering, Engr Olufemi Ogunode thanked the Club for the laudable gesture.
Speaking further, he noted that FAAN will continue to partner with private organizations and well meaning Nigerians who are committed to the advancement of quality service delivery at the nation’s airports.
The President of Rotary Club, Falomo, Rotarian Orji Ajah in his brief remarks, noted that as part of the club’s philantropic culture and their core value of lending support to less the privileged, it decided to complement the vision of FAAN to continually render efficient services to air travellers and other airport users.
This motivated the need to donate these wheel chairs to improve facilitation of passengers with disabilities.
Also at the presentation ceremony were the General Manager Corporate Affairs, Mr. Yakubu Dati, General Manager Customer Service, Mrs. Ebele Okoye, Chief of Staff to the MD, Mr. Kabir Muhammed,Airport Manager, MMA, Mr. Nehemiah Auta, Terminal Manager, GAT, Mr. Olatayo Oginni, Special Adviser to MD FAAN, Mrs. Sola Awe, Head, Corporate Affairs, GAT, Mrs. Julian Bright-Idiaghe, Rotarian Juile Don-Adinuba and other guests.
Dunoma noted that FAAN will continue to ensure the provision of quality services to air travellers and other airport users at all times.
