South African Airways (SAA), Africa’s most awarded airline, partnered with Mozambique Tourism Authority (INATUR) to host travel agents from Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa to Mozambique International Tourism Expo – FIKANI held in Maputo.

 

Mozambique International Tourism Expo- FIKANI, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism through the National Tourism Authority (INATUR), is an annual event which brought together tour operators, hotel groups, tourism directorates, regional tourism boards, airlines and other tourism service providers.

 

According to the Director of Marketing Mozambique Tourism Authority, Belgineta Suzana David, ‘’we brought together various groups of travel agents, tour operators, hotels, and other tourism providers across the continent to showcase the splendor of destination Mozambique’’.

 

Maputo has become an emerging destination in Africa which remains an important to SAA in the Southern region of Africa.

Traveling with South African Airways from Lagos to Maputo requires no transit visa to South Africa, which makes connecting the destination a lot easier.

 

Mozambique, however, offers a visa on arrival system in which each traveller is required to pay $50.

 

“There are companies that assist and pre-arrange for visa on arrival to make the process seamless at entry point in Maputo”, explained South African Airways, Country Manager Mozambique, Thobi Duma.

 

SAA operates a brand-new Airbus A330-300 on Lagos- Johannesburg route equipped with state of the art, comfortable 46 premium business class and 203 economy class seats with neutral colours, cabin furnishing, a relaxed atmosphere and improved service offering passengers a memorable journey.

 

SAA Airbus A319 on Johannesburg- Maputo route has unique 25 premium business class and 95 economy class seats which guaranty passengers the best service and comfort throughout the flight.

 

Maputo is a great city that has business and leisure opportunities with lovely beaches that can host weddings, honeymoons and other private parties. As the capital city of Mozambique, it is globally known for its varieties of sea food.
