The Air Transport Quarterly ATQ, magazine has bestowed Barrister Oluwabukola Aduragbemi Teriba, Regional Manager of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Lagos with the coveted Regional Manager of the Year award for 2024.
The esteemed accolade presented at an event in Lagos, recognized Teriba’s exceptional contributions to the Nigerian aviation sector.
Her leadership, expertise, and collaborative spirit have solidified her reputation as a leading figure in the industry, according to Mr. Adeola Fadairo, chairman of the occasion, who emphasized the profound impact of her work on the development of aviation in Nigeria.
Mr. Supo Atobatele, the organizer of the fourth edition of the awards, highlighted Barrister Teriba’s unwavering dedication and expertise, noting her commitment to promoting safety, security, and sustainability in aviation, which has earned her widespread respect among her peers.
As the Regional Manager, Teriba oversees the regulation and supervision of aviation activities in the South West, ensuring strict adherence to both national and international aviation standards.
In her thank you speech, a visibly humbled Teriba expressed her gratitude to God for the recognition and dedicated the award to Captain Chris Ona Najomo, the Director General of the NCAA, whom she affectionately referred to as “jolly papa,” acknowledging his exemplary leadership.
She also extended her appreciation to the entire management team and the dedicated staff of the regional office for their unwavering support and commitment to duty.
“I feel really humbled by this award,” she stated, emphasizing the collective effort behind her achievements.
She added, “I want to dedicate this award to God and the DGCA Captain Chris Najomo, jolly papa and his fantastic management team and the regional office team, thank you”.
Following her speech, the enthusiastic NCAA staff present echoed the popular slogan, “Lagos is working, Lagos in Action,” underscoring the spirit of progress and efficiency.
