United Nigeria Airlines has announced the appointment of a former executive of Uganda airlines, Mr. Adedayo Olawuyi as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), reinforcing our commitment to strengthening commercial operations and driving sustainable growth and expansion.
Mr. Olawuyi brings over 18 years of extensive experience in the aviation industry, with a strong track record in commercial strategy, network and schedule planning, revenue management, and business development.
Prior to joining United Nigeria Airlines, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Uganda Airlines. He also held senior leadership positions at Africa World Airlines (AWA), Ghana, including Head of Commercial, and served as Head, Business Intelligence & Strategy at EAN Aviation Limited. Earlier in his career, he held multiple roles at Air Nigeria (formerly Virgin Nigeria Airways), spanning commercial planning, network analysis, and ground operations.
A statement by Chibuike Uloka, Public Relations Officer for the airline said Olawuyi holds an Executive Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mathematics from the University of Ibadan. He has also completed several professional development programmes with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and other global aviation institutions.
United Nigeria Airlines said it is confident that his experience and leadership will enhance our commercial performance and support the achievement of its strategic growth objectives.
His appointment, it said is expected to further position United Nigeria Airlines for improved market competitiveness, enhanced customer experience, and expanded route offerings within and beyond Nigeria.
