ValueJet has announced the launch of two new routes as part of its continued commitment to expanding connectivity, enhancing passenger convenience, and strengthening regional integration across West Africa.

Beginning from May 18, 2026, the airline will commence daily flights between Owerri and Abuja, creating a direct and efficient link between the South-East region and Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory. The route is expected to serve the growing travel needs of business professionals, government officials, families, students, and leisure travelers who require dependable and comfortable air transport between both cities.

The introduction of the daily Owerri–Abuja service further reinforces ValueJet’s growing domestic network and its dedication to improving accessibility within Nigeria through reliable and customer-focused operations.

In line with its regional expansion strategy, ValueJet will also launch flights between Accra and Banjul starting from May 14, 2026. The route will operate three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, providing travelers with increased access between Ghana and The Gambia while promoting regional mobility, tourism, trade, and economic collaboration within West Africa.

The Accra–Banjul route is expected to provide greater convenience for passengers seeking direct regional connections, eliminating the stress of multiple stopovers while offering ValueJet’s signature onboard experience and service excellence.

Speaking on the new route launches, ValueJet’s MD, Captain Omololu Majekodunmi stated that the expansion reflects ValueJet’s long-term vision of connecting more cities and people across Africa while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and service delivery.

“These new routes represent another important step in our mission to make air travel more accessible and convenient for our passengers. We remain committed to expanding our network strategically and providing reliable flight services that meet the evolving needs of travelers within Nigeria and across the West African region”.

Over the years, ValueJet has continued to strengthen its presence within the aviation industry through consistent service delivery, route expansion, and customer-focused operations. The airline currently operates flights across key domestic and regional destinations, including Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Jos, Owerri, GWI-Iperu, Calabar, Kano, Cotonou, Accra, and Banjul.

Passengers can conveniently book flights through the airline’s website, mobile app, accredited travel agents, and ValueJet sales offices nationwide.
