Muneer Bankole, Managing Director of Medview Airline, at the weekend, said that the airline’s services keep getting more passenger and cargo patronage because of its sincerity with customers.
He said the company’s policy to be there for customers at all times, especially in on-time departure, arrival and delivery of services will keep the airline soaring.
Speaking to reporters in his office, the Medview boss said the growth it enjoys in its operations, especially the acceptance and patronage of its international route is very encouraging, adding that all promises to travellers on those routes have been fulfilled.
Recall that Medview, in the last quarter of 2015 launched flights to London, Gatwick in November and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on December 31, saying both operations have been very encouraging.
“As we speak, our flight just came in from Jeddah, it left yesterday and we had a hundred and twenty-five (125) passengers going to Saudi on it in a 165 capacity aircraft, Jeddah is doing very well and as for London there is no single seat left on return from the summer.”
Bankole said the challenges of operating Lagos-Gatwick were there but noted that the carrier has done very well as could be rated as the best Nigerian airline on the route.
He also said that the airline is making good its promise especially on inflight catering with Nigerian cuisines introduced onboard.
” See our London flight, we said we would serve local food and we are serving amala, fish pepper soup we are doing what we say and keeping our passengers happy. Treating them like Nigerians want to be, with respect and dignity.”
He also said that the airline’s service delivery and its on time operations has helped to create a niche for Medview as most clients want to use them because they are on time.
According to the Bankole, the domestic operations of the airlines have also peaked with a good load factor and a daily passenger figure of almost 2000 passengers on the domestic scene daily with the equipment being used.
“ As at March 10, we flew 1, 634 on the domestic route and we do so with the number of aircraft we operate but our operations have come to show that it is not the number of aircraft or size of the fleet that matter but how best to utilise the equipment and we are utilizing our equipment quite well.”
Bankole also said that the airline’s Lagos-Kaduna service slated to begin tomorrow will also do well like all the other flights to and from the Northern part of the country explaining that Medview will make the route exciting for passengers.
According to him, the flight which will take off from Lagos at 7.30 am in the morning will arrive Kaduna at 9am and on its return trip the airline will fly Kaduna to Abuja and then Lagos, on Mondays, Tuesdays Wednesdays and Fridays
Bankole further stating that from 2 o’clock every hour of everyday, Medview will have a flight taking off from Abuja to Lagos.
“From 2 o’clock every day we have a flight taking from Abuja, one at two another at three, one at four; another at five and one at six. We have return flights from Maiduguri, From Yola, from Kano and every one of them takes off from Abuja on the hour and with good passenger figures”, he added.
