An indigenous cargo and freight forwarding firm, Mainland Cargo Options Limited, has called on stakeholders to come together for the good of all operators.

Its General manager, Shakeelah Naransamy, made the call during recent courtesy visit on the leaderships of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Cargo Agents, (ANLCA) and the Nigerian Association of Air Freight Forwarders & Consolidators, (NAFFAC) at their various secretariats in Lagos.

She expressed her Company’s readiness to partner other stakeholders in moving the industry forward and advocated for fairness and openness in the dealings of members so that sharp practices and other unwholesome acts being perpetrated by un-registered and un-licensed operators will be minimized to save the genuine ones from ridicule.

She sought the total and unwavering support of the association in the task ahead.

“I have come as a partner in progress to join hands with you and others in moving the cargo business forward and we will do our best to ensure that our customers are offered the best available services”, she said.

On his part, Chairman of ANLCA, Lagos chapter, Nze Aloysius Igwe, commended the Company for its initiative despite being a new entrant and pledged his association’s unflinching support.

He however added that for the Company to enjoy all the available privileges accruable to members, it must register with the association and be a paid up member.

Speaking also, the Chairman of NAFFAC, Lagos chapter, Alade Shabi, expressed profound appreciation for the visit.

“We look forward to working with you and it is our hope that this rapport will continue for the good of all of us”, he said.
