… vows to move profession forward

Mr. Abayomi Agoro has been re-elected president of the Nigeria Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) for a second time.

Agoro polled 238 votes to defeat his opponent, Hussaini Jubril who scored 175. A total of 413 votes were cast.

Speaking after his presentation of certificate of return, NATCA boss thanked members for the peaceful online conduct of the election and assured them of greater struggle ahead in unity.

In his words “I implore all of us to know that the election is over and it is one NATCA”.

He said he look forward to the contribution of every member to uplift the association to a greater height in the interest of all.

Agoro further assured members of the executives relented efforts to ensure that their welfare was addressed accordingly adding that, he will do his best to raise the bar of the Nigerian Air Traffic Controllers Association.

“We will continue to engage those in authority to see that our welfare is being taking seriously and we should also try as much as possible to dedicate ourself to the profession”.

Meanwhile, the re – elected general secretary of NATCA, Rev Felix Agbonlahor has attributed their coming back to good work and dedication to duty.

Agbonlahor told journalists after being sworn in that the challenges were ernomous during the first tenure with questions of being able to perform in office but noted that support from members made him to scale through the challenges.

He said his victory was a testament that people appreciated what he was able to render and disclosed that there were challenges ahead this time.

Agbonlahor said he has been inspired to do more work and will not relent as it was not a time to go on holiday but to work as they could be future ambition.

He called for more synergy between the executive council and some members by providing necessary counseling to move the association forward.
