The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN)  has expressed commitment to delivering safe, secure and quality services to all its stakeholders including traveling passengers, airports’ host communities, their environments as well as making effective use
of natural resources to support sustainable development in the aviation ecosystem.

With the introduction of the Integrated Management System Policy, (IMSP), FAAN said it will equally continue to comply with all applicable extant laws and regulations, and ensure operational excellence, stakeholder satisfaction, maintaining highest standards of safety and operational integrity, and proactively identifying, managing, and eliminating risks while consistently delivering our premium world‑class services.

A statement signed by Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, managing director of the Authority said  FAAN is committed to integrating quality, health, safety, and environment (QHSE) in how it does business; ensuring that its airports and workplaces are conducive to all persons.

She also expressed the Authority’s commitment to preventing pollution, injury, and ill health and comply with applicable legal requirements and other requirements to which it subscribes or related to its  environmental aspects, risks, hazards, etc, associated with the ISO 9001 ꞉2015 QMS and ISO 14001꞉2015 EMS (Q&E) integrated management system.

” We are also committed to providing the framework for training, setting, and reviewing IMS objectives and targets; documenting. implementing, maintaining, and continually improving on our Q&E integrated
management system and its performance;
communicating to all persons working under our control with the intent that they are made
aware of their individual and Q&E obligations;
We are committed to making this policy available to relevant interested parties; contribute to the development of sustainable energy systems and technology; demonstrating the importance of Q&E through hands‑on leadership and behavior.

The Authority, which pledged openness in all Q&E issues and active engagement with stakeholders; said it it committed to ensuring Q&E training for employees and creating appropriate level of awareness; encouraging the lesson learned from accidents and incidents to improve on control; ensuring prevention of alcohol and drug at workplace by employees and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction in our services.

It further promises to ensure that the quality of its services meet their intended output.

“This policy statement shall be communicated, understood, implemented and supported throughout the Authority and linked to
to consistent IMS objectives. It will be reviewed from time to time for suitability in order to ensure that it continues to be appropriate and in line with business needs.”,  Kuku said .
