The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology NCAT, Zaria in conjunction with the International Civil Aviation Organisation ICAO trainair plus, has commenced the Training Instructor Course (TIC) at the Caverton helicopter in Lagos.
The course, organised by the college, will run for five training days as part two of the exercise after participants have completed their first phase earlier.
Addressing the participants before declaring open the course, the rector of NCAT, Capt Abdulsalami Mohammed said NCAT will continue to provid necessary training for aviation personnel.
Mohammed, who was represented by the head of management school, NCAT, Engr. Emmanuel Onwuka said the course was designed by ICAO empowering NCAT to train instructors in various aviation fields in order to improve manpower development.
He said the course has been structured by ICAO to meet the needs of aviation personnel across the globe, urging them to take the course seriously.
According to the rector, NCAT has remained the flagship in the training of manpower for the aviation sector urging other aviation stakeholders to take advantage of the opportunity offered by the college.
