The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Mr Festus Keyamo, SAN, has directed that these sources of revenue of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), be explored to the fullest.
In the course of receiving briefing from FAAN management on Thursday, he observed that there are so many potential opportunities for ramping up the revenue profile of the Agency.
Accordingly the, the minister has set up a committee under the chairmanship of the Permanent Secretary to look at: Advertisements at the Airports; Ticketing System at the FAAN Facilities and Waivers on payment of FAAN Services.
A statement signed by Abdulahi Yakubu -Funtua, Director Public Affairs & Consumer Protection, said the Committee has been given four weeks to come up with a comprehensive report and proffer solution.
Keyamo had on Thursday, harped on increasing points of revenue generation fir FAAN as he said he did not come to the sector with a civil servant mindset but with a private sector mindset.
